8 Teeth and Climbing!

Ally has 8 teeth through the gums now (which I believe is a lot for her age).

And...

She's climbing! I had her playing with toys down on the floor this afternoon, and was trying to catch a little nap, only to be woken by her standing at the couch patting at my face. She also climbed to a stand on the bottom of the stairs a few days ago when Aaron & I were decorating our house for Christmas. And she climbed to a stand on Kyrie's potty, and she climbed to a stand on one of Kyrie's chairs....the list goes on. I'm debating purchasing a fly swatter to discourage her thoughts of standing and/or climbing ... ha ha just kidding, but I do worry about her walking at this age. She doesn't know what to do once she gets to a stand... she tends to fall backwards (I can see that becoming a painful habit). I'm trying to teach her to bend her legs if she feels herself losing her balance, so that way she won't hurt so bad when she falls.

Christmas Is Coming!

I'm SO excited for Christmas, especially this year.

1. It's Ally's first Christmas. I will love to see how her "baby's 1st" is.

2. Kyrie's a little older, and a little more aware of how everything works, so I'm trying to get her stoked for Christmas. She asks almost daily now to watch a "Mickey Mouse Christmas" movie.

3. We're not in the middle of a move or just barely recovering from a move (nor am I pregnant), so decorating is so much fun, and not horribly exhausting!

4. I'm going to my family's house for Christmas, so we're starting to celebrate/decorate early, because I'll be gone for the better part of December. Might as well get a jump start on celebrating!

6 Teeth!

Ally woke up this morning with a 6th tooth. I was surprised. It's on the bottom. She grew 2 on the bottom. Then 2 on the top. Then one more on the top (with another working its way in on top), and out of the blue she popped out a new tooth on the bottom. So she has 6. I read somewhere that I'm supposed to take her to see the dentist by the time she has 8 teeth. At this rate, I'll be taking her in before the end of the year (not really. It'll depend on how soon my dental insurance covers check ups for her... but I bet she has at least 8 teeth before Christmas).

We took our first official family portrait pictures since we had children (we have had pictures taken of us as a family at Disneyland and DisneyWorld, but never gone in to a portrait studio). I'll have to post pictures when we get them. Both of the girls did really well!

Kyrie is officially potty trained. We now have a chart on the refrigerator. Once she makes it 3 weeks with no accidents we're going to reward her. We're so proud of her. I'm so happy to only have one set of diapers to deal with.
